Chulucanas pottery has deep cultural roots dating back to 500 BC.   This unique pottery is smoked not painted.  Mango leaves are used in the smoking / drying  process to give the pottery its rich black color.  Most pieces will arrive to you with the aromas of the earth, due to the burnt Mango leaves used in the drying process.
